Description
One of our most unusual light fixtures is the result of a brainstorm. We have several molds for shallow bowls that are “ball surface” shaped, or a section of a sphere. So, we wondered, could we recreate the whole sphere?
The result is a wonderful modern light fixture, reminiscent of a watery planet. Karla used transparent turquoise glass with wispy white accents for the bowls. They are suspended on a welded steel structure. The light socket is a medium base and we’ve used a 5″ diameter (G40 type) bulb positioned in the center of the sphere. The fixture is mounted with a dual aircraft cable suspension.
If you like the style but have different colors in mind, take a look at our custom lighting page or contact us to discuss a similar fixture made just for you.
