Your chemistry teacher wouldn’t approve of the name, but “Cranberry Oxide” came to mind when we saw the glossy maroon color next to the irid chips that look like heated steel. This is another piece that takes on different looks depending on the lighting.
This platter is great in a window and just as awesome used on the table.
Form: Shallow square platter.
Technique: Sheet stock cut and assembled, fused, coldworked and slumped.
Home Use: This tray is made of 1/4″ thick fusible glass. It is sturdy and won’t break with the bumps and bangs of normal use. It is food-safe, but please don’t put it on a hot stove or in a microwave. It can be put in the dishwasher, but we recommend hand washing.
