Beginning Stained Glass – Design and Construction
This course is an introduction to the art of stained glass using the lead came method. Students will learn and practice:
- Design and drafting of patterns
- Selecting glass and purchasing supplies
- Glass cutting and grinding, glass studio safety
- Assembly, soldering and cleaning
Classes will consist of 6 weekly 90 minute sessions. Students will design and create a project of up to 4 square feet. They may take their project home between classes or can optionally work on it in the Renegade studio. Class size is limited to 5 students.

|$ 85.||Rent the tool set for the course – Requires an additional deposit of $100.|
|$5.00 per hr.||Studio time in lieu of tool rental – use Renegade’s tools in our studio during business hours. Reservations for studio time are required one week in advance.|
|Glass & supplies||$50 – $100||Supplies cost depends on the project you design. You’ll buy glass, lead, solder and flux from us at a student discount.|

Classes are scheduled individually with the instructor. Classes are 90 minutes once per week, arranged at the mutual convenience of the instructor and students.
